At the FEI World Cup Dressage finals in Paris a clear picture of the most dominant and influential sires in dressage became obvious. As we look more closely to the finalists we are proud that Blue Hors and its stallions play an important role in worldwide dressage horse breeding.

Winner of the World Cup finals in 2018 in Paris was defending champion Isabell Werth with the 13-year-old Oldenburg mare Weihegold OLD, who also won the Grand Prix Special at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro as well as Olympic team gold and Triple Gold at the European Championships in Gothenburg 2017. Weihegold OLD is the daughter of the King of Blue Hors, elite Stallion Don Schufro, who is ranked in the top 10 of the world's leading dressage sires.

Living legend Don Schufro, whose daughters pass on their sires talents to their progeny, is the grandfather of Deja (by Silvano), the number 4 of the World Cup Final. Deja is ridden by Patrick Kittel.

Our own Blue Hors Zack and Daniel Bachmann Andersen were placed 7th in the Final. Just one year after their international debut they belong to the absolute world elite and Zack is one of the highest placed stallions at the FEI world ranking.

Although Zack is only 14 years old his offspring is already successful at the highest levels. His son Glock's Zonik ridden by Edward Gals was placed 8th in the final, just behind his sire. Zonik is bred out of the mare Romanik (Blue Hors Romanov x Blue Hors Don Schufro), an example of excellent Blue Hors breeding.

Blue Hors Don Schufro and Blue Hors Zack dominated the World Cup finals with their strong genes. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Don Schufro’s father Donnerhall is also grandfather of Cennin (6th) and Sir Donnerhall II (10th) and he is grandsire of number 12 Danilo. Zack's father Rousseau is also the sire of Zippo, ranked 16th in the final.

Breeding is no coincidence!
