Two stallions owned by De Wiemselbach were approved for the Westphalian studbook last week. This means that the promising Kensington ES (by Cornet Obolensky) and Connect (by Connor) are following in the footsteps of Wiemselbach stallions previously approved by Westfalen, such as Numero Uno, Van Gogh, Justice and Ustinov.
“Connect was already approved in Holstein and is popular in Germany as well as in the Netherlands,” says Daan Horn. “Now that he is making a very positive impression with his oldest offspring, we are really seeing an increase in the number of coverages from Connect. We are located close to the border with Germany and have many customers in Westphalia. That is why we have already presented a lot of stallions to this studbook and these Connect and Kensington have also received the green light from the Westphalian committee.”
Promising
The nine-year-old Connect (Connor x Contender) has already had several sons approved, including the promising Lingo van de Watermolen and Love Connects for the KWPN studbook. The blood-made stallion Connect makes a big impression under the saddle of Caroline Müller. The latter also applies to the five-year-old Cornet Obolensky son Kensington ES (ds.For Pleasure), with which Müller finished third in the stallion competition last winter. Kensington jumps with a lot of power, reflexes and effort convinces all around. “The ease and scope with which Kensington jumps in combination with his exceptional bloodlines has made Westfalen decide to also approve him for the stud service. This enables us to serve the German breeders even better”, says Horn.
